Special case aid opportunities for NAU students

There’s no shortage of financial aid opportunities out there, including scholarships and programs just for distinct student populations you might be a part of! We’re here to help you navigate these opportunities and receive the most possible aid in paying for college.

Arizona Foster Youth Award

This program uses a combination of federal grants, scholarships, and university aid to cover the full amount of Arizona resident undergraduate tuition and fees.

Arizona Education and Training Voucher (ETV)

ETVs are federal funds that are intended to help former foster youth pay for postsecondary education. Funds may be used for tuition, housing, books, and qualified living expenses.

The application is the same for ETV and for the Arizona Foster Youth Award.

Blavin Scholars

The Blavin Scholars program provides assistance to NAU undergraduate students who have been a part of the foster care system. If you are an Arizona resident and have financial need, you might be eligible for this scholarship.

 

First Scholars

This program helps ensure success for students who are the first in their families to attend college.

 

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and Undocumented programs

Federal student aid for non-US citizens

Don’t assume you can’t get aid just because you’re not a citizen. Many non-US citizens still qualify for federal aid in a variety of ways.
