A scholarship is financial aid based on academic merit or other achievement, or on personal background. Scholarships do not need to be repaid.

A grant is gift aid that does not need to be repaid. NAU grant programs are federal and state funded. Submit your FAFSA by Feb. 1 each year for priority consideration. Each grant has different requirements and funding levels. Use our net price calculator to find your estimated eligibility.

Be sure to borrow only what you need. Most loans have a fee and the average repayment period for the loan is 10 years.
