COLLEGE PREPARTORY COURSE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE LUMBERJACK SCHOLARS AWARD

English 

  • Four years of high school English (composition/literature based)

Mathematics

  • Four years of mathematics including one year each of Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II and an advanced math class for which Algebra II is a prerequisite

Laboratory Science

  • Three years of laboratory science, one year each from among Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, or Physics. An integrated science class may be substituted for one of the required laboratory science courses.

Social Science

  • One year of American History
  • One year of social science (e.g., European History, World History, Economics, Sociology, Geography, Government, Psychology, or Anthropology)

Foreign Language

  • Two years of the same foreign language

Fine Arts

  • One year of fine arts
