Payroll Deduction

Payroll Deduction (PD) is a popular option for many benefit-eligible NAU Faculty and Staff members because it will disburse payment for Campus Recreation programs and memberships across multiple pay periods. There are many different options for PD. All Faculty/Staff memberships are eligible for this exclusive benefit; memberships require an active enrollment each year (there is no auto-renewal option). To enroll in payroll deduction you must meet the following criteria:

  • Benefit eligible employee
  • Sign up for an annual membership (semesters are not PD eligible).
  • Enroll in the program during our open enrollment period (October 30-December 15 for Spring 2018 memberships)

Current members who have re-enrolled with payroll deduction will have their new membership begin on January 1, 2018. All new members will receive complimentary membership benefits upon receipt of required PD forms.

Questions? Contact the Member Services Coordinator at Paul.Rehn@nau.edu.

General membership information

Sponsored Memberships

Members of Campus Recreation may “sponsor” members to use the facility. Sponsored members receive the same benefits as the original member and allows access to those who would otherwise be unable to use the facilities. Below are the guidelines for sponsored members:

  • The original member’s membership must run the duration of sponsored membership.
    • If an original membership ends mid-semester, the sponsored membership must end at the same time. * Campus Recreation will not prorate memberships for sponsored members.
    • If the original member has an annual membership, then the sponsored membership can be a semester or an annual.
    • A member can have a membership at the Rec and a sponsored guest can have a membership at the WAC and vice versa.
    • The sponsored rate is listed on the membership matrix. As a benefit, Faculty/Staff sponsored members will pay the Faculty/Staff rates for usage.

Semester/Annual Memberships

Semester memberships can be purchased at any point the academic semester (Fall, Spring, Summer). All semester memberships will be prorated to half off when the semester has entered its second half (8 weeks); there are no other prorated rates during a semester.

  • Memberships must be paid in full at the time of purchase either by cash, card or check.
  • Annual memberships are available at any time of the year and are effective for 1 calendar year past the date of purchase.
    • These memberships must be paid in full at the time of purchase either by cash, card or check.
    • Annual memberships are not eligible for a prorated rate.
