Phillip Mlsna is an associate professor who has been at NAU since 1999. He received his BS in electrical engineering at Northern Arizona University and his MS and PhD at the University of Arizona in 2001. His experience includes 11 years with Hewlett Packard and Raytheon. His areas of expertise include image processing, digital hardware design and digital signal processing.
Dr. Mlsna has extensive experience in industry as a computer hardware designer for Hewlett-Packard and as an image processing algorithm developer for Raytheon. His research interests are primarily in image processing and computer vision, but he is also interested in digital signal processing, digital hardware design, and microprocessors.
