Northern Arizona University
Nolan Spitzer is a professional trombone player, based out of Flagstaff, Arizona, who is receiving his undergraduate degrees in Trombone Performance and Music Education at Northern Arizona University. He is currently studying with the Professor of Trombone, David Vining. He has played in the top ensembles at the school, including the top Jazz Band for three years, the university Symphonic Band, Wind Symphony, and Orchestra. He has also had the privilege of being a call in for the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra. He is also an on call trombonist for many musical events in Flagstaff, including the Annual Holiday Dinner, as well as playing with the Master Chorale of Flagstaff in their newly established Broadway Bingo Night.
He has had experience teaching lessons to high school students as well as middle school students. Throughout his time at Northern Arizona, he also learned how to play the euphonium, and was a featured soloist with the Academy Drum and Bugle Corps in the summer of 2012 and was awarded the Most Outstanding Brass Player Award. When he graduates, he plans to teach high school band, as well as private lessons and to continue playing professionally.
