Parents and Family Members
Attend a Parent & Family Orientation Session at NAU
Parents and family members are invited to attend a Parent and Family Orientation session, held during our Freshman Orientation sessions. There is no charge for guests to participate.
During the orientation sessions offered in May, June and July, participating students are encouraged to stay overnight in Wilson Hall. Family members and guests should make their own overnight lodging arrangements.
At Parent and Family Orientation you will:
- learn about financing your student’s education and have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a Financial Aid professional
- attend informational sessions hosted by your student’s academic college
- attend presentations to learn about life on campus
- participate in presentations and workshops focusing on coaching your college student
Sibling Program at NAU
Offered only during May, June, and July Sessions
Younger siblings or family members are invited to participate in our Sibling Program during the first afternoon of orientation. After your student gets checked in, registered siblings who are ages 9 and older will have the opportunity to play games, learn about the Northern Arizona University campus, and create a special surprise for your older sibling or family member who is going off to college. Siblings will rejoin their parents in the evening before dinner on the North Quad lawn.
Siblings will spend the second day of orientation with their parents.
To participate in the Sibling Program, register the younger sibling as a guest when your student signs up for orientation, or call (928) 523-0632.
