Save the date and make plans for family fun at the Flagstaff campus.  Events will begin Friday late afternoon and conclude mid-day on Sunday.  We guarantee there will be food, family fun and football but we are still working on all the specific events and details.  Watch this site for more information in the upcoming weeks.

Family Weekend Registration and Information Tent

10:00am-5:00pm

University Union west lawn, across the street from the Performing and Fine Arts Building.

Make the Registration and Information Tent your first stop for Family Weekend. Register to win an NAU Pendleton blanket, and get your family weekend map and information.

Family Welcome Reception and Academic Showcase

6:00pm-7:30pm

Native American Cultural Center, Bldg 14, just north of the University Union.

Families, guests and their students are invited to start Family Weekend with a welcome reception in the beautiful Native American Cultural Center. The perfect time to visit with other families, faculty and staff and enjoy complimentary refreshments. Creative and research projects from university undergraduate students from across campus will be on display.

Casino Night

7:00pm-10:00pm

DuBois Center. Building #64

Join us for the 21st annual Casino Night. Open to all ages. Enjoy family-friendly casino games, including; Blackjack (65 tables), Craps (2 tables), Roulette (6 tables), Pai Gow Poker (4 tables), Let-It-Ride Poker (4 tables), Texas Hold-Em (10 tables), and more. Huge Raffle (100+ prizes). Outstanding Silent Auction (100+ prizes). Hosted by students from the School of Hotel and Restaurant Management.

5k Partner Run & 2mi Walk

7:00am-10:00am

Lumberjack Stadium. Please enter through the north stadium gates, where you will find check-in tables.

Here's your chance to have a FREE fun run with your family before you tailgate the football game! This 5k run is a partner run: Father/Daughter, Father/Son, Mother/Daughter, Mother/Son, Sibling/Sibling, or Other/Other. The first 100 runners through the gate will get a special gift, and we have awards for the winning teams as well as light refreshments.

NAU Students: Please sign your team up at www.imleagues.com/nau. You may also wait and sign up on the morning of the event, Saturday 9/27. The event begins at 8am. Registration will be 7am-7:45am at the entrance to Lumberjack Stadium, where the NAU Soccer Team plays, adjacent to the Recreation Center.

Family Weekend Yoga

9:00am-10:00am

HLC,Exercise Suite 1

This morning yoga class builds strength and flexibility. Poses are sequenced to provide a complete body workout while cultivating body awareness and mindfulness. No experience necessary, family and friends are welcome to start Saturday off feeling refreshed and rejuvenated!

Family Weekend Aerial Adventure Challenge

10:00am-6:00pm

The Challenge Course at NAU on the corner of Pine Knoll and South Huffer Drive.

Climb, traverse, jump, and zip line at heights 40' above the ground on the Challenge Course at NAU. Groups start the course every hour and the experience will run approximately 2 hours. Participants should wear comfortable clothing, athletic closed toed shoes, and dress for the weather. Each participant will be required to complete a liability waiver prior to the experience. Waivers will be provided onsite and can be downloaded ahead of time from http://nau.edu/Recreation-Services/Outdoors/Forms/. Family Weekend Climb

11:00am-3:00pm

HLC Recreation Center- Climbing Wall

Drop in and experience Campus Recreation's Climbing Wall. The wall is 38 feet high, with ten ropes, state of the art texture, and routes for beginner to advanced climbers. No experience necessary, our staff will show you the ropes! Climbing and gear usage (harness & shoes) is just $5 for non-students and free for NAU students. Each climber will be required to complete an informed consent form prior to climbing. Minors must have a guardian's signature on the form. The form can be completed at the wall or ahead of time by downloading it from nau.edu/outdoors.
