Lumberjack sports

Time to play!

NAU offers a variety of sports for every skill level—soccer, disc golf, logging sports, ice hockey, and swimming, to name a few. Our teams compete on the mountain, in the swimming pool, and out on our playing fields—throughout the year.

Whether you participate in sports or not, don’t forget to cheer for your fellow classmates as they compete either in intramural sports or in the Big Sky Conference.

Something for everyone

All seasons, all activities

Here at NAU, you can be active in sports all four seasons: we have indoor workout areas and outdoor playing fields. Many activities are now available virtually so that you can stay engaged and active from anywhere.

These fields are designated for your sports, including ultimate frisbee, soccer, quidditch, rugby, and softball.

Wall Aquatic Center

Sports teams, including swimming, water polo, and synchronized swim, use this world-class swimming and diving facility.

Recreation Center

Stay fit by utilizing the amenities in our Recreation Center, including an indoor track and climbing wall. Currently, we have many online activities to keep you ready for competition and help you stay connected with your classmates.
