SAS is available on Windows computers only.

How to Request

Faculty and staff may purchase SAS through the ITS Software Store.

Students, Faculty, and Staff may obtain a free copy of SAS University Edition. Information may be found on the SAS University Edition page.

Cost / Pricing

You may purchase and install SAS for the yearly fee (due each July 1st) of $70 (license only). The license runs from July 1st till the 30th of June the following year (fiscal year). When NAU has the new license in hand, copies will be available in the software store. SAS has a 90 day grace period.

Faculty & Staff may call the ITS Solution Center at 928-523-1511 regarding any questions. 

Students may call the Student Technology Center at 928-523-9294 regarding any questions.

ITS personnel cannot assist with statistical interpretation. What we can do is help with errors resulting from problems with the statistical program in question. There may be times when you will be required to contact either SPSS or SAS yourself to resolve some issues. For more information please visit our Statistics Support page.

ITS supports three statistical programs at NAU: SPSS, SAS, and JMP.

Training & Documentation


General Information Academic Computing also assists in  survey processing  and  Faculty evaluation  processing. ITS is able to supply (for a nominal charge) scan forms that you may employ in your survey based research.
