NAU’s ITS Learning and Professional Development team is pleased to report on the success of the Lynda.com site license. For those of you unfamiliar with the site, Lynda.com is an online software training and tutorial video library. Their online courses can help you learn critical skills for use in the workforce or find helpful information for that pet project.

When you login with your NAU credentials you will have access to hundreds of tutorials on software and technology in several categories including 3D and animation, audio, business, design, development, home computing, photography, video, and web and interactive design.

At the end of the Fall 2012 semester we nearly broke the millenium account mark with 992 registered users who watched 192 hours of training and tutorials. In January, by the start of the Spring 2013 semester, there was an unprecedented jump in new accounts and hours viewed with 1753 accounts viewing 754 hours. It might make you think...what training are you missing out on?

Word has certainly spread about this fantastic resource available to all NAU students, faculty, and staff. Please take advantage of these trainings and tutorials to further your knowledge and improve your skills in a myriad of different topics. Help us to make this a successful program by telling your friends and colleagues to create their free accounts by logging in to Lynda.
