System Requirements

Windows

The VPN protocol (Point-To-Point Tunneling Protocol or PPTP) is built into recent versions of Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7. You may need to update your system, and will need to configure the client to connect to NAU's VPN server.

Macintosh

MacOS 7.5 or later, Open Transport 1.1.2 or later, 16MB RAM and 6MB of hard disk space is recommended. MacOS 7.5 to 9.x requires a third-party (Point-To-Point Tunneling Protocol or PPTP) client software called Tunnel Builder. MacOS 10.2 currently has built-in support for NAU's VPN service.

Unix

 We do not offer support for installing or using the Linux VPN client at this time, however you can get the client and information on PPTP-linux.
