To browse the course catalog in your LOUIE Student Center,
click the green Search for a Class button
at the top of the right column as shown in Figure 1.
On the Search for
Classes page, click the drop-down arrow in the textbox next to Term to
select the term in which you are interested in browsing, such as 1131 –Spring
2013, shown in the example in Figure 2.
Next, select browse
course catalog tab from the navigation bar at the top of the page.
On the Browse Catalog page, you can view course detail and
descriptions by first clicking on the letter of the alphabet which corresponds
to the subject in which you are interested.
To browse the catalog for a different term, click on the
drop down menus located above the alphabet navigation bar at the top of the
page (Figure 3).
On the Browse Catalog page, click on the letter of the
alphabet that corresponds to the subject in which you are looking for a class.
For instance, if you are interested in browsing courses that are available for
Applied Indigenous Studies, you will click on the letter A.
Click on the green triangle to the left of the subject in
which you wish to browse. This will display a full list of courses found in
that subject area (Figure 4).
You will now see four columns labeled Course Number, Course Title,
View Class Sections, and SUN Course with the corresponding
information for each class listed underneath.
Clicking on the links under View Class Sections will take you to the list of available sections
of that class as show in Figure 5.
If you click on the hyperlink in the Course Number or Course Title
columns you can view the Course Detail for any course listed. The Course Detail
page displays information from the course catalog. You will see units,
grading basis, enrollment information, and the description for the course.
From the Course Detail page you can also view any sections available
for that course for your selected term by clicking on the View Class Sections button or you can return to the course list by
clicking on the Return to Course List
under the course information (Figure 6).
