How to configure VPN on Windows Vista
Setting up a VPN connection on Windows Vista
Open your Control Panel, then click Network and Internet
Under Network and Sharing Center, click Connect to a network.
Click Set up a connection or network.
Click Connect to a workplace, then click Next
Click Use my Internet connection (VPN)
In the Internet address text box, type vpn.nau.edu
Choose a name, such as NAU VPN, for the Destination name (this is how you will identify this connection later, so be sure to put in a relevant name)
Type your NAU UserID in the User name text box (Students need to insert "NAU-Students\" infront of their User ID)
Connecting to a VPN on Windows Vista
Connect to your ISP as you normally would.
Open the Control Panel. Then click on Network and Internet. Click on Connect to a Network. Finally select NAU VPN and click on Connect.
Fill in your username and password in the Connect NAU VPN window.(Students need to insert "NAU-Students\" infront of their User ID)
NAU's VPN service allows users to securely connect to the Northern Arizona University network.
