NAU Directory Services (LDAP) - Mac OS 10.9

This guide will show you how to set up an NAU LDAP account on Mac OS 10.9.

Step 1

Click the Apple icon in the menu bar at the top of the screen.


Step 2

In the menu, click "System Preferences."

On the System Preferences screen, click "Internet Accounts."


Step 4

 Internet Accounts

Scroll to the bottom of the list on the right-hand side of the window.  Click "Add Other Account."


Step 5

 Add an LDAP account

Select the "Add an LDAP account" option from the list and click "Create."


Step 6

 Enter account information

In the "Description" field, type "NAU LDAP" without quotes.  In the "Search base" field, type "ou=people,dc=nau,dc=edu" without quotes.  In the "Server Address" field, type "ldap.nau.edu" without quotes.  Click the arrow next to "Server Options" to expand it.  Make sure the "Use SSL" box is checked, and make sure the port number is 636.  Finally, click "Create."  Your NAU LDAP account is now set up.
