Our nationally ranked physical therapy program
At Northern Arizona University (NAU), our hands-on,
collaborative program will help you become a well-rounded generalist Doctor of
Physical Therapy (DPT) with an integrated understanding of the field—one that
will prepare you for a wide variety of positions upon graduation.
Our program is academically rigorous—of the 872
applicants for the 2011 academic year, we accepted 48—and requires a
serious time commitment—the program is 33 months of full-time study.
Successful completion of our competitive, nationally ranked program—and the licensure exam—will give you the qualifications to be a
Doctor of Physical Therapy in any of the 50 states.
High graduation rate
Of the students accepted into our
program, 98 percent will graduate. Other Doctor of Physical Therapy programs in
the US—both public and private—have an 88.7 percent graduation rate, on average.
High pass rate for licensure exam
The overall pass rate of our
students on the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) averages 99.2
percent. The employment rate for our students who have passed the NPTE is 100
percent.
