Camp Information

Our camp is offered for youth in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Parents may choose a registration for their child that best fits their schedule: full-day or half day (morning or afternoon), weekly or 5-week sessions. Camp hours in the morning are from 8:00am-12:00pm and afternoon from 1:00pm-5:00pm. Groups are established by grade level, and have a counselor-to-camper ratio of 1:10.   • We do not offer daily rates or pro-rating for any camp
  • We do not provide discounts for multiple children attending
  • Weekly enrollment is subject to available program space

Mountain Jacks Kids Camp

The Mountain Jacks Kids Camp is open to all youth in Kindergarten through 5th Grade (we no longer offer camp for Pre-K children). The morning portion of the camp is dry-land, activity and educational-based, while the afternoon portion of the camp is aquatic-based. Activities and Excursions include:
  • Out of Africa
  • Arizona Game and Fish
  • Lowell Observatory
  • Starlite Lanes
  • Flagstaff Police and Fire Department
  • The Humane Society
  • NAU Arts and Academics
  • National Parks Service

Explorer's Camp

The Explorer's Camp is open to all youth in 6th-8th grade, and is limited to 30 campers each week. The Explorer's Camp venture around Northern Arizona University's campus, Flagstaff and surrounding areas through experiential education. Camp leaders and Professional Staff members provide leadership and skill development for all Explorers in a fun and engaging atmosphere. 

Explorer Activities

All activities are subject to change based on a variety of reasons, but past activities have included:

  • American Red Cross CPR/AED 
  • NAU Outdoors Challenge Course
  • Outdoor Survival Skills
  • Leave No Trave Outdoor Principles
  • Bike Maintenance
  • Volunteer at a local animal shelter
  • Visit to Out of Africa
  • Day trips to: Red Rock Country, West Fork at Oak Creek Canyon, Sunset Crater, Meteor Crater, Red Canyon
