There are two primary reasons Outdoor Adventures would cancel a trip: unsafe conditions or insufficient participant enrollment to cover trip costs. If a trip is cancelled by Outdoor Adventures, participants will be immediately notified, and will automatically receive a Refund in the amount paid with Outdoor Adventures.

What if NAU Outdoor Adventures
Cancels the trip?
are two primary reasons NAU Outdoor Adventures would cancel a trip: unsafe
conditions or insufficient participant enrollment to cover trip costs. If a
trip is cancelled by NAU Outdoor Adventures, participants will be immediately
notified, and will automatically receive a refund in the amount paid to NAU
Outdoor Adventures. If NAU Outdoor Adventures cancels the course, there is no
processing fee for a cash refund.
What if I can no longer go on
Cancellation BEFORE the drop deadline:
drop deadline is 14 days before the first day of the trip. If a refund is
desired and the request is made before the drop deadline, a refund will be
processed minus a 20% processing fee.
Cancellation AFTER the drop deadline:
cancellations after the drop deadline will require the participant to forfeit
all payments made to NAU Outdoors, and will not be eligible
for a refund. In the event of a life emergency (death in the family, illness,
or injury) participants must provide formal documentation to the Program
Coordinator within one week of cancellation. If documentation is received, a
refund with NAU Outdoor Adventures will be issued, minus a 20% processing fee. No refunds will be given for
participant cancellations due to weather conditions.
