Strive and Thrive at your Desk: Fall Semester: This is collaborative program between the NAU Employee Wellness Program and NAU Environmental Health and Safety. If your job involves risk factors associated with postural imbalances or with desk work and computer related activities and would like us to assess your work stations and provide a preventative or corrective exercise program, click here to sign up for your session today. The cost of the additional postural assessment and personalized exercise program is $20.00. If you should require further assistance you can schedule 2 personalized training sessions for just an extra $40.00. Please contact fitness@nau.edu for more information or questions. 
Wellness Wednesdays: Wednesdays: 2:00pm-5:00pm: Join us for Wellness Wednesday! Every week we offer FREE wellness assessments, plus you can learn all about sleep, stress, and eating healthy on campus. Don't forget to enter our weekly wellness contest! Want to know your body fat percentage, or need free condoms? Drop by from 2-5pm today.
aXe Games: 8/28/2015: 9:00pm-11:00pm: Kick the school year off right with Campus Recreation and show your Lumberjack pride! We invite you Friday night, August 28th after the Lumberjack Women’s Soccer match to the Recreation Center for a variety of exciting, innovative, and unforgettable activities you don’t want to miss! Be one of the first students on campus to try Knocker Ball, Speed Climb, Spike Ball, and Kan Jam! Show your spirit and wear Lumberjack plaid! Axe Games will commence at 9pm, participants will have the chance to earn Campus Rec swag, gift certificates, discounted. Color Run registrations, a private Knocker Ball party, and so much more! Games conclude at 11pm.

ACE Personal Training Preparation Course: 9/14/2015-9/16/2015
This course is designed to give students the knowledge and understanding necessary to prepare for the ACE Personal Trainer Certification Exam and become effective personal trainers. $180

Biggest User: 9/14/2015-11/20/2015: This program is designed as a tool to help educate and motivate you in getting fit and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. For many of you, this might be a
beginning step. As for others, living a healthy lifestyle might be a normal routine and you are simply looking for more motivation or new ways. Whatever it may be that you are looking to
improve your health, we are here to help! The registration will include: 2 Fitness Assessments Health Coaching/Goal Planning Session Small Group Training (2x/week) 1 Nutritional Consultation OA Challenge Course Experience Monthly Seminars.
Get Rec’d Class: Half-Marathon, 10K and 5K Training Preparation: 9/14/2015- 11/20/2015: Monday and Wednesday: 5:30pm-6:30pm:  Looking to run a half marathon, 10K or 5K and just don’t know where to
start? Start here with the Marathon Training Preparation Get Rec’d Series. We are excited to help you learn more about what it means to enjoy running and use it as a tool to improve your health. Get Rec’d Class: Krav Maga: 9/14/2015- 11/20/2015: Tuesday and Thursday: 7:00pm-8:00pm: This course will introduce the fundamentals of contact combat through the discipline of Krav Maga. Never experienced any form of martial arts or fighting before? Have you been training for years? Either way this course is for you. Krav was designed for ease in learning and application, and its integrative system allows for fast and vast improvement over a short period of time. From the basics of striking and blocking to specific situational defenses, you will gain confidence to defend yourself and others!
Get Rec'd Class: Olympic Lifting: 9/14/2015-11/20/2015: 1:00-2:00pm: 

This is a 10 week Olympic Lifting course that will provide instruction on proper technique and progression of the Olympic lifting movements. The course will also provide lessons on fundamental movements associated with the Olympic lifts such as squats, pulls, and presses. Along with the lessons the class will provide a structured workout to accompany the lift of the day to help build and improve a participants movement patterns. To track the progress of the class progressive maxes, from 3 repetitions to 1 repetition, will be measured periodically through the phases of the course. This class is located in the NAU Athletics weight room. 

ACE Health Coaching Preparation Class: This class is coming next Spring! This course is designed to provide theoretical knowledge and practical skills in preparation for a national certification exam in health coaching. Topics include effective coach-to-client communication techniques; behavioral, nutritional, and physiological sciences (particularly as they relate to the obese client); screening and assessment; guidelines for designing and implementing safe, effective, and purposeful exercise programs; and the legal, professional, and roles of the health coach.
