2011-2012 Horizons Concert Series Provides Musical Exploration

For five years, the NAU School of Music’s Horizons Concert Series has been providing global exploration and deeper musical experiences for the NAU and Flagstaff Community.

Five concerts are scheduled for for the spring 2012 semester.  Offerings range from classical to contemporary to klezmer; West Coast to North Coast to East Coast; Beethoven to Cage to Prokofiev.

All other performances will be in Ashurst Hall, at 7:30 p.m.

“The artists themselves are intrigued and encouraged by the goal of the series—exploration,” said Todd Sullivan, director of the School of Music.  “The concept is to complement all else that happens in town, and make the musical opportunities and experiences deeper and wider.

“We provide mind-bending experiences for community as a whole.”
