Homecoming 2012

Mark your calendars, the official 2012 Northern Arizona University Homecoming date has been announced - Saturday, October 20th!

We're looking forward to seeing you and your friends at the parade, tailgate, game and other events! This year's theme, as chosen by students is 'YOLO: You're Only Lumberjacks Once.'  homecoming theme 

Thursday, October 18: 

  • Traditions Day pep rally, bonfire & more.

Friday, October 19:

  • Blue & Gold Class of '72 Reunion (throughout the weekend)

  • Vocal Jazz Concert - Ardrey Auditorium, 7:30pm. Performances by NAU vocal jazz ensembles, High Altitude, Northern Voices. Free. 

Saturday, October 20: 

  • Café au Louie Alumni Breakfast – location TBD
  • Homecoming Parade 
  • V12 Memorial dedication ceremony - NAU North Quad, 1pm
  • College of Health and Human Services Tailgate Party - Skydome parking lot, 1-3pm
  • Alumni Tailgate - Skydome parking lot, 1-3pm
  • Homecoming Football Game - Skydome, The Lumberjacks take on UC Davis.
  • AlumniAward winners and Blue & Gold Recognition at Homecoming Game Halftime
Sunday, October 21:
  • High Challenge Course Sampler - Two Sessions: 10am-12pm and 12pm-2pm at Challenge Course (on the corner of Pine Knoll and South Huffer Lane). Wrap up Homecoming Weekend with a an adventure, climb our giants ladder, traverse cables 40 feet off the ground, leap off the 25 foot confidence pole or challenge your old college buddy to a race to the top of our climbing wall. Cost $12/person if preregistered. $15/person if registering day of event. Preregister by contacting NAU Outdoors 928-523-3229 or arrive 20 minutes early to register day of.   • Fall Festival of Choirs - Ardrey Auditorium, 3pm. Performances by NAU Men’s Chorale, Women’s Chorale, University Singers and the Harold M. Harter Memorial Handbell choir. Adults: $13, Seniors, NAU Faculty and Staff: $10, Students: free with ID.
