What do you enjoy most about working with NAU undergrads?
The spirit, enthusiasm and love for life of our student body creates an uplifting work environment at NAU. The students are the reason I enjoy coming to work!

What is your favorite place on campus?
I love the Flagstaff Urban Trail System that runs from North Campus to South Campus. I love to run and snowshoe and this trail provides peace and tranquility as well as beautiful scenery all year long.

Why should students take advantage of the Student Success Coaching program?
Because this effective program is free for students, has a dedicated team of dynamic coaches and is designed to help students achieve their goals and succeed in college.

Student Success Coach 4 Significance
Working for the History Department during the past year has allowed me to interact with a large number of students. I have watched many students struggle unnecessarily and, by becoming a coach, I see myself positively impacting the lives of students by using my knowledge and experience to help them reach their goals, both short-term and long-term.

What’s surprised you most about your career path?
Originally, I thought I would be a Creative Writing Professor because I majored in English/Creative Writing. I decided not to go to graduate school and started working in an accounting department for a publishing company! I now utilize my writing/editing and accounting/budgeting skills to perform my duties as an Administrative Associate and, although it was not what I originally intended, I am quite content with what I do.
