What do you enjoy most about working with NAU undergrads?

I enjoy working with the students because they are all so enthusiastic about starting their undergrad degree and are willing to learn new things.  They make me feel useful when I see them succeed at academics, make new relationships, and talk about having a career after graduation.

What is your favorite place on campus?

My favorite place on the NAU campus is the Student Union.  It is always a hub of activity, has many resources for students, and Starbucks is nearly always open.  I like meeting my students there.

Why should students take advantage of the Student Success Coaching program?

Students should take advantage of the Student Coaching Program because it is a wonderful support system for incoming Freshmen, can connect students with other resources on campus to aid in finding people, places, and things and especially good for assisting in locating academic support like math tutors and extracurricular activities.

What’s the best piece of career advice you’ve ever been given?

The best piece of career advice I have been given: Always treat people the way you want to be treated, and when you are offering advice and you have to critique other’s  academics or work performance always criticize the task and never the person.
