Academic Transition Programs (ATP) provides
students with the necessary tools to develop realistic academic and personal
goals, locate helpful student resources on campus and create an overall
successful and memorable college experience.
ATP offers comprehensive first-year programming developed in a
collaborative effort between the university and students and facilitated
through coursework, activities, and services.
Initiatives in ATP include:
Success Courses (SSC)
facilitate the transition from high school to college as well as address
specific academic concerns. Our current
student success courses are:
- NAU100: Transition to College
- NAU120A: Study Skills & College Success
- NAU130: Back on Track
- NAU180: International Student Success
College Success Program (CSP)
Book; One Community (OBOC)
OBOC programming creates conversation and
community amongst the NAU students, faculty and staff and reaches into the
Flagstaff community by asking everyone to read the same book selection.
Our dynamic Peer
Educator Program (PEP) employs
over 125 undergraduate students annually.
Peer Educators serve in a variety of roles focused on mentoring and
teaching students about academic success.
