Information Desk Staff

Information Desk Staff work at the University Union, du Bois Center, and/or Health and Learning Center Information Desks. Duties include but are not limited to: 

  • maintaining building cleanliness
  • conference room sets
  • customer service
  • an overall knowledge of the campus
  • setting up AV equipment

Necessary skills for this position are: communication, organization, dependability, teamwork, the ability to multi-task, problem solve, and take initiative.
Must be Federal Work Study (FWS) eligible for Fall 2015 semester to apply.

USA Desk Administrative Assistant

Duties and required skills include: heavy communication skills and customer service. Answer phones and greet guests. Schedule meetings, vendor booths, and other associated activities within the Student Union facilities.

Must be Federal Work Study (FWS) eligible for Fall 2015 semester to apply.

SUN Entertainment

Event Programmer
Responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of SUN Entertainment events such as AfterHours, Noon Time Activities, Concerts and more.  Will be responsible for the implementation of the events from beginning to end. Other duties as assigned.  
Additional responsibilities:
  • Plan semester calendar and events
  • Maintain event budgets
  • Ensure proper production is available
  • Interface with Crew Coordinator to ensure adequate crew is scheduled
  • Ensure that offer letters, vendor forms and contracts are returned and executed in a timely manner
  • Ensure Advertisers have proper information ahead of time to create and distribute ads
  • Concert and event load-in, set-up, and load-out
  • Available nights and weekends for events

Job requirements:
  • Experience planning and executing events
  • Basic computer skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Aptitude for teamwork
  • Work 15-20 office hours per week (Not including events)
  • Work nights and weekends
  • Ability to work long hours
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to safely lift and move equipment
  • Attending NAU for at least 2 more years
  • Federal Work Study Preferred
