Friday, February 28

  • Open Ice Skating

    Venue change: The ice rink will be in the Field House due to rain in the forecast

    Open skate for families with younger children 12-2 PM. Open skate for all 2-4 PM and from 6-10 PM. FREE for students with valid ID’s and their visiting family. Skates will be available for use (FREE).

  • Broomball tournament, Central Quad ice rink 4-6 PM
  • NAU Men's Lacrosse vs. Ft. Lewis, south fields, 6PM, FREE
  • Complimentary all weekend access to Aquatic Center and Rec. Center for visiting families. (FREE) Check out the fitness class schedule and hours at the Rec. Center webpage.
  • Symphonic Band Concert, Ardrey 7:30 PM $10 adult, $5 senior/NAU employee, children and students FREE Buy tickets online or at the door.
  • “The Shape of Things”, Studio Theatre, 7:30 PM (Mature Audience) $14 Adult, $12 senior/NAU employee, $8 Child*, $2 NAU student Buy tickets online or at the door.
  • Prochnow Movie: “Delivery Man” Prochnow Auditorium, 8 PM, (PG-13) Admission and concessions FREE for students with a valid NAU ID and their visiting families.

Saturday, March 1

  • All Levels Yoga: Rec. Center, 10-11 AM.

    Start your winter morning with a FREE yoga class at the Rec. Center. If it’s your first yoga class or your 100th!

    NOTE: All experience levels are welcome. Bring a mat if you have one and if not, the front desk has one you may borrow.

  • ROCK Family Winter Weekend… with Campus Recreation!

    This event features a family team challenge focused on fun, non-traditional climbing events (previous climbing experience not required) for a collective score and is as fun to watch as it is to compete! Our top three Family teams will receive a cool prize pack. Join the fun, cheer and create memories while ROCKING Family Winter Weekend!. Events include: Race to the Top, Trendy Traverse, and Climbing Wall Twister

                 Registration: Free. Drop in any time between 10 AM and 2 PM to compete. NOTE: All climbers are required to complete a liability waiver prior to climbing.

  • Tye Dye Event: Central Quad, 11 AM-1 PM, Bring your own material to dye or buy a t-shirt at the event for $5.

  • Career Services Informational Session, Gateway Student Success Center classroom, 1 PM, refreshments provided.

    Please enter Gateway Center through the classroom door accessed via a ramp. This door is on the north side of the building between the main entrance to the Gateway and the bus spine that runs between Gateway and the San Francisco Parking Garage.

  • Financial Aid and Scholarships Informational Session, Gateway Student Success Center Classroom, 2 PM, refreshments provided. (see directions above)
  • Dine with your student!

    Join your student for dinner (4:30 to 9 PM) at the Hot Spot or the Düb. Family members may use their student’s meal swipe (s) or pay $9.96 + tax (cash or credit card) per person for dinner.

  • Pre-Game Reception, Skydome, 5:30 PM

    FREE hotdogs, popcorn, and soft drinks before the Women’s Basketball game. Enter the dome in the ordinary ticket entry doors and make your way to the south end zone floor.

  • Women’s Basketball Game, Skydome, 6:30 PM, $3 adult, seniors/NAU employees and students are FREE. Buy tickets online or at the door.

*The Shape of Things contains mature subject matter. Viewer discretion is advised.

Weekend Parking

On weekends, from Friday 4:30 PM to Sunday, a parking permit is not required in employee or commuter lots unless otherwise noted. Visit Parking and Shuttle Services webpage for additional information about parking garages, pay by space stalls, permit kiosks, and parking maps.
