Blavin Scholars can be eligible for different types of financial aid. To be admitted to the program, students must be eligible to receive the Arizona Education and Training Voucher (ETV). The ETV program provides students up to $5,000 per year. Eligible students include those that have been in foster care on or after their 16th birthday and have either a high school diploma or GED. They must be accepted into or enrolled in a degree, certificate or other accredited program at a college, university, technical, or vocational school.
The Arizona Transitional Independent Living Program (ILP) is another service provided for former foster youth. Financial assistance and support is available in the areas of counseling, housing, employment, and education.
The Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid is housed in the Gammage Building on North Campus. If you are a student who has aged out of the Arizona foster care system and foster youth waiver, and would like more information on financial aid, please contact Esther Cuellar.
