Supplemental instruction (SI)
What is SI?
Supplemental Instruction (SI) is a series
of peer-facilitated weekly review sessions for students taking historically challenging courses.
SI is free, open to all students, and voluntary. SI Leaders are current students who have previously taken the course, performed well, and want to help others succeed. SI Campus-Wide Schedule .
SI sessions are an opportunity for
- discuss and review important concepts
- develop study strategies
- ask questions in an engaging and interactive format
- work with peers in a small-group study environment
that students who attend SI regularly earn fewer Ds and Fs than
students who don't utilize SI, and --on average-- get a higher final
