Sanjam Ahluwalia, Ph.D., History & Women's and Gender Studies Lecturer

  • Awarded a 2013 summer residential fellowship at the Leslie Center for the Humanities, at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire for a project on a Global History of Sexual Sciences, book length project on Sex, Sexuality and Reproduction.
  • Book Editor for the Journal of Asian Studies, the premier journal in the field.
  • “Sex and Reproduction: Politics of Birth Control in Colonial India.1920-1947. Indian Journal of Gender Studies. 2012.

Arianne Burford, Ph.D., Women’s and Gender Studies Lecturer

  • Presented “Anxieties of Citizenship at the Crossroads: Arizona's SB 1070 and HB 2443 Legislation as Imperialist, Orientalist and Racist Acts,” at the Canadian Women's Studies Association conference in 2012.
  • Pedagogical synchronization of our introductory course for First Year Learning Initiative; and skillfully deploys youtube, photobucket images, student blogs, Xtranormal videos, Google docs for a Courses Notes “wiki” assignments.
