Overview
The mission of Catholic Social Services is to build just and caring communities

Students interested in interning with Catholic Charities
must specify interest in the
Family Emergency Shelter and Transitional Program, which has
the only "family" shelter services in Flagstaff. Students will
assist with:
Duties
Working on community based teen pregnancy prevention
projects and awareness activities. Specifically, promotion of teen pregnancy
prevention month, assisting with preparation of Teen Maze event and Girls and
Sports Day, will also serve as an individual and group mentor to members of the
Teens Taking Action Group, an after school program focusing on service projects
involving teen pregnancy prevention which meets monthly.
Qualifications
Candidate must:
- possess good written, oral, and organizational
skills
- be a self-starter who understands the importance
of deadlines
- have some flexibility in availability of hours
- be outgoing, creative and must possess a strong
desire to work with youth, primarily high school age
- have own vehicle and valid insurance
