Pacific Sociological Association annual meeting
Sociology graduate students and faculty attend the Pacific Sociological Association annual meeting every year. If you will be
presenting a paper at the meeting, you may apply for travel funding from
various departments on campus.
Information about submitting a paper and attending the
conference will be discussed in your graduate classes in the fall semester.
Funding assistance
Vice President for Research (VPR)
The
VPR Student Travel Grant supports students who are presenting research at a conference or engaging in some other scholarly event. Individual grants typically range from $100 to $300.
Graduate Student Organization (GSO)
Social and Behavioral Sciences Dean's Office/ Department of Sociology and Social Work
Visit the department office (building 65, room 330) for details. There is a single application for
SSW and SBS travel awards. Funding is limited to students who will be presenting papers at the PSA.
PSA Travel Grants
The
Pacific Sociological Association offers 50 $125 travel grants available to help pay expenses for graduate and undergraduate students who are giving a presentation at the annual meeting in Oakland.
