John Kelly

Political Science and Economics

Hello! My name is John Kelly and I am the 2013-2014 President of Model United Nations at Northern Arizona University. I have been in Model UN for 3 years now and I have seen the club grow from 4 students to 35. I have absolutely loved my time in Model UN because it has ranged from incredible conferences, ridiculous moments, to meeting some of the most genuinely intelligent people I have ever met. No other experience has pushed me or driven me as much as this club has. Model UN has the unique ability to force you to laugh harder, debate louder, listen closer, and establish life-long connections all at the same time.

I am currently a Senior, majoring in Political Science and Economics with a minor in History. I have also been playing jazz saxophone for 9 years now and love playing with anyone that can keep a beat. Additionally, I have become an avid skier and enjoy a few TV programs a night.

Vice President

Greg Wilson

International Affairs and Political Science

As-salam alaykum. My name is Greg, and I'm a 3rd year student here at NAU. I am majoring in International Affairs and Political Science, with a Minor in Arabic. I've been involved with Model United Nations here at NAU for roughly a year now, and I am currently serving as the club Vice President. Model UN has been an incredible experience for me; I cannot imagine my life without it, despite my short duration in the club. Socially and academically, Model UN satisfies the soul, providing many avenues for hands on learning and fantastic people to associate yourself with. I plan on remaining heavily active in the club for the remainder of my time here.

Rebecca Andryushchenko

Political Science

Shalom Chaverim! My name is Becca and I’m a senior at NAU set to graduate in December. I’m majoring in Political Science with a minor in International Relations. I will be in charge of Fundraising this semester amongst other things. I transferred to NAU in Fall of 2011 and officially joined Model UN the following semester. As a transfer student it was a little bit rough my first semester considering I didn’t know a single person when I transferred. Joining Model United Nations on a whim has improved my time at NAU immensely. I have been able to create lasting friendships, get into discussions on topics I’m interested in, and learn so many interesting things in the last two years. The people I have met through the club are some of the most genuine, intelligent, and down-to-earth individuals around. I only wish that my time here at NAU was not ending so I can continue to grow, learn, and be inspired by this amazing club and the individuals I have met.
