The application for central office student staff positions in the spring 2015 semester was open November 17, 2014 – December 15, 2014 at 5 p.m. We are no longer accepting applications for the spring 2015 semester.

In order to be eligible for hire for these positions, you must complete three online trainings required by all University employees – FERPA, Information Security Essentials, and Preventing Workplace Harassment. Administrative Clerk

The Housing and Residence Life Administrative Clerk position provides support to the Executive Director of Housing and Residence Life, Director of Housing and Residence Life, and Assistant Director of Learning Communities. 

Job description

You will:

  • provide quality customer service, in person and on the telephone 
  • mail requested information to students and parents
  • keep area clean and organized
  • enter data of all learning community contracts and information 
  • possess multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
  • operate office equipment and have knowledge of office environment
  • coordinate and complete mass mailings
  • audit paperwork
  • maintain and order forms and supplies
  • manage student and personnel files, including organizing and creating files

Conduct Area Office Assistant 

Provides support to the Conduct office and the Coordinator for Residential Student Conduct and Development.

Job Description
Staff is responsible for answering emails and phone calls from students and hall staff regarding appointments for conduct meetings. Student workers will also schedule appointments and send out e-mails regarding those appointments, as well as perform basic office work such as scanning, saving and uploading documents. Staff members are required to work with confidential information regularly and must comply with FERPA guidelines when sharing this information. For this reason, applicants must be comfortable with the sensitive nature of this position.

Front Desk/Operations Assistant

The Housing and Residence Life Front Desk/Operations Assistant position provides support to within the housing operations area of the central office. 

Job Description
Provides support to the housing operations staff. The operations staff is responsible for processing housing applications, monitoring housing assignments, and placing housing charges on student LOUIE accounts for residents at NAU.  

Information Technology Assistant

The Housing and Residence Life IT Assistant position provides technical support to Housing and Residence Life staff.  An IT related job application is required for this position. Please click here to fill out an application!

Job Description
This position will provide technical support to Housing and Residence Life staff. Duties include performing routine maintenance on Dell workstations, troubleshooting hardware and software problems, and assisting end users with computer questions and issues. This position also maintains surveillance cameras. Use of ladders and lifting of equipment is required. Experience providing computer hardware and software support is desired.

Residence Life and Fraternity & Sorority Life Office Assistant 

The Residence Life and Fraternity & Sorority Life Office Assistant position provides support to the Fraternity & Sorority Life area, the Associate Director of Hall Staffing, Assistant Directors of Residence Life, and Residence Life coordinators. 

Job Description

You will:

  • provide quality customer service, in person and on the telephone 
  • possess multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
  • keep area clean and organized
  • respond to emails from students and parents
  • enter data and upload documents for the Resident Assistant Selection Processes and seasonal programs
  • operate office equipment and have knowledge of office environment
  • check out office equipment to Housing and Residence Life staff
  • manage student and personnel files, including organizing and creating files
  • provide general office support to Housing and Residence Life and Fraternity & Sorority Life office 

Central office hours are 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday, during the academic year.
