About Kathryn: I am so excited to be working with such an awesome department and staff this year and am looking forward to what the year will bring. I love working with freshman students because of the energy and excitement that they bring to campus. Seeing the growth of first year students throughout the academic year is such a rewarding and exciting experience.

Why I Chose NAU: I chose NAU because it is unlike any other school in Arizona. I also enjoy the fact that it is away from my hometown, but it is not a hassle getting back when I need to.

Why I'm Excited to Be An RA: I am excited to be an RA because it is a completely new experience for me, and hopefully I will be able to make a positive impact on as many people as possible.

Why I chose NAU: I chose Northern Arizona University because it is a place where I can grow academically, personally and professionally. It is farther from home than I am used to, but I am excited to experience a new surrounding. I'm ready for an adventure!

Why I’m excited to be an RA: I am excited to be an RA so I can further develop my skills working with others, and build lasting connections with my residents and staff. I love being a resource, and having the ability to reach out and assist those in need. This is an incredibly rewarding experience and I am ready to continue to learn and grow!

Why I chose NAU: When I first visited NAU, I fell in love with the campus and Flagstaff area. I chose NAU because of the beautiful campus, the enthusiasm of the students, all of the great outdoor activities, and the opportunity to ski a lot during snow season.

Why I’m excited to be an RA: I'm excited to be an RA because it will give me a chance to help new students transition to their home away from home. I am also looking forward to encouraging my residents to participate and enjoy everything NAU and college life has to experience.

Why I’m excited to be an RA: I believe student involvement on campus is truly an amazing way to not only grow as an individual, but also assist others in self-development. As an RA, I am given the privilege of becoming a community builder and role model for my fellow peers, thus granting me the ability to experience NAU on a completely different level.

Why I’m excited to be an RA: I am excited to be an RA because of the rewarding experience you receive from it. I enjoy being able to share my experiences here at NAU in order to give guidance to new incoming residents. I am excited to build relationships with not only my residents but my staff too.

Why I chose NAU: I came to NAU for all the sunshine Flagstaff receives without an extreme change in the weather that I grew up in. I also wanted to expand my comfort zone and gain confidence by challenging myself by going to a place that I wasn't fully comfortable with.

Why I’m excited to be an RA: I am extremely excited to become an RA because of all the new connections I am going to make while learning new, practical skills.

Why I chose NAU: I chose NAU because I love the small town feel and the excellent engineering program that they offer. I also wanted to have the experience of going away for college, but still be close enough to visit home when I want to without too much trouble.

Why I’m excited to be an RA: I'm excited to be an RA because it will give me a chance to help others transition into college as well as help build a community that my residents will be able to rely on. I look forward to working with the other amazing staff throughout this year.

Why I chose NAU: I chose NAU because I noticed that it had a great business program with the addition to small class sizes. I also loved the location because it is similar to my hometown when it comes to elevation.

Why I’m excited to be an RA: I am excited to become an RA because I have a huge passion for helping others and a I will get the opportunity to do that with freshmen students while they are transitioning from high school to college. I also get the opportunity to meet students from different backgrounds!

Why I chose NAU: I chose NAU because it is close to home, but not to close. The campus is very beautiful. Everyone here is friendly and welcoming. I also enjoy experiencing a change in seasons.

Why I’m excited to be an RA: I’m excited to be a returning RA next year because I hope to be a helpful hand to my fellow staff members. I am also excited to have a new batch of residents that I will see grow as the year goes on.

Why I chose NAU: You are not a number here, you are an individual. Furthermore, NAU's Hotel and Restaurant Management program is one of the highest ranked programs in the nation.

Why I'm excited to be an RA: This will be my third year as an RA in Sechrist and I could not be more excited to have the opportunity to come back. I enjoy getting to know all my residents on a personal level and building a relationship with them so they feel comfortable with the transition into college. Lastly, my favorite part about being an RA is seeing the growth of residents from move in day to move out day and knowing that all the RAs in the building had a part in that growth.

Why I’m excited to be an RA: I'm excited to be a returning RA because last year was amazing and I want to have an even better experience this year. I love the relationships I get to build, the people I meet, being able to share my experiences and being a mentor/ role model for incoming freshmen.
