Year/Major: Sophomore - Social Work
Hometown: Fairfax County, VI
Why I chose NAU: I chose NAU because I enjoyed the amazing atmosphere of people.
Why I'm excited to be an RA: I wanted to be an RA because I felt connected to mine. I felt heard, understood and loved. I saw the feeling of pride and wonder on my RA's face whenever I told her something good happening in my life. Going through the hiring process I realized that I wanted that; to feel like they need to tell you, like in some way they're here partly because of you. If I can get one resident to say "Emilio, you inspired me to...." than I know im doing my job right. I know I'm changing lives.
