Assignments to family housing
We make assignments every semester as space becomes available. On your housing application, please note your preferred check-in date so we can determine availability for that timeframe. We will notify you of availability by telephone or e-mail and later assign a specific apartment once your timeframe is confirmed.
After the assignment
The Residence Hall Director (RHD) will assign your apartment and check-in date. You will need to pay one month’s rent before check-in.
To check in, you will need to present:
- your receipt for your first month’s rent
- a copy of your marriage license, divorce papers, children's birth certificate(s), or custody papers (if applicable) to Housing and Residence Life
If you do not already have your Northern Arizona University ID Card, visit the JacksCard Office in the University Union. You will need it to check-in.
Visit Parking Services at nau.edu/parking for parking permits and campus maps. All residents and guests must obtain parking permits prior to parking on campus.
If you need a bed, you may request a full and twin size.
Cable and internet
Basic cable is included and already installed. If you would like extended services, call SuddenLink Communications at 877-612-5034 or 928-774-5336.
When you move in, you will need to unload your belongings at the designated unloading locations. When you check in and get your keys, staff will direct you to these clearly labeled parking spaces. You may check out a handtruck/dolly at your South Village Apartments office.
