New Freshmen

2014-2015 Academic Year (August 2014-May 2015) - application opened October 1, 2013 for incoming freshmen. The housing application deadline for guaranteed housing was May 15, 2014. 

Please note: Due to high demand for housing, we are no longer accepting new housing applications for freshmen students as of July 22, 2014. 

To apply for housing:

1. Pay your enrollment deposit - Once you are admitted to Northern Arizona University, you will be asked to accept your offer of admission and pay your $325 enrollment deposit, which includes your $100 non-refundable housing application fee. After paying your enrollment deposit, please allow one-two business days for access to the housing application.

If you try to apply and the following screen appears after you enter your user ID and password, your enrollment deposit is still being processed, and access to the application should be available by the next day:

2. Apply online - Log into the housing portal using your NAU user ID and password. Then follow the step-by-step directions to complete your application.

3. Make your Housing Rent Confirmation Payment (HRCP) – After you submit your application, a $175 housing rent confirmation will be charged to your LOUIE account and is due by May 15 to guarantee your space on campus (by November 15 for spring-only applications).  This payment applies toward your semester rent. If you do not make this payment by the due date, your housing application will be cancelled.  

4. Select your room – if your housing rent confirmation is paid by the due date, you will be assigned a room selection time based on your date of housing application. Room selection for the 2014-2015 Academic Year applications will occur in late May through mid-July. Housing will be based on space availability at the time of room selection. 

Students Under 18:
For your housing application to be considered complete, all admitted applicants under the age of 18 must download and submit a copy of the contract terms including a parent or legal guardian signature, date and contact number within seven (7) days of submitting the application. If the signed contract terms are not submitted, the student’s housing application will be cancelled.  View and print contract terms here

Students 21 or over:
Freshman Connections halls are designated for incoming freshmen under the age of 21. If you are an incoming freshman 21 or over, or who will turn 21 by the beginning of the academic year, you will be housed in an upper-division hall based on space availability.

New Transfer Students

CCC2NAU Students

Full-time CCC2NAU students are eligible for campus housing. Specific room assignments are based on date of application and space availability.  

2014-2015 Academic Year (August 2014-May 2015) - application opened April 16, 2014 for CCC2NAU students. The housing application deadline was May 15, 2014.  

Please note: Due to high demand for housing, we are no longer accepting new housing applications for CCC2NAU students as of July 22, 2014.  

To apply for housing:

1. Apply online - Log into the housing portal using your NAU user ID and password. Then follow the step-by-step directions to complete your application. A $100 non-refundable housing application fee will be charged to your student LOUIE account once you apply for housing.   

If you try to apply and the following screen appears after you enter your user ID and password, the housing application is not yet available to you.
