Cline Library: Special Collections and Archives
Cline Library houses archival material which documents the history and development of the Colorado Plateau, including the Colorado Plateau Digital Archives. Cline Library also houses the University Archives and the archives of the Arizona Historical Society, Northern Division.
Colorado Plateau Biodiversity Center
These collections support research and education in ecology, evolution, and conservation, with special emphases in paleontology, quaternary climate change, botany, entomology, marine invertebrates, fish, reptiles, amphibians, birds, mammals, fungi, and DNA bioinformatics.
U.S. Geological Survey/NAU Macrobotanical Laboratory
Primarily aimed at paleoecological, stratigraphic, archaeological, and modern ecological studies, this collection consists of fossil and recent plant specimens as well as the most complete collection of fossil packrat middens from the Colorado Plateau and Mojave Desert.
The Arboretum at Flagstaff
Northern Arizona University has a strong partnership with The Arboretum at Flagstaff, a 200-acre botanical garden, research station, and environmental education center.
Art Museum and galleries
The Northern Arizona University Art Museum permanent collections include works by modern artists, as well as turn-of-the-twentieth-century American furniture and antiques. It features special exhibitions yearly and offers an Arts Outreach Program for northern Arizona school teachers.
Museum of Northern Arizona (MNA)
MNA is the only accredited museum within 150 miles of Flagstaff, and plays a vital role as interpreter of the Colorado Plateau. Northern Arizona University has a close, long-standing affiliation with MNA.
