Instructions for PIVOT: PIVOT: The Next Generation of Funding and Research Expertise

•             Access comprehensive funding opportunities globally
•             Identify researcher expertise from within or outside NAU
•             Create groups for sharing funding opportunities on an ongoing basis

NAU researchers/users can access PIVOT one of two ways:

1.            IP Access

From any on-campus computer, go to the PIVOT url: http://pivot.cos.com. NAU IP addresses are recognized by Pivot, so you may start searching for funding or faculty profiles right away.

2.            Username and Password

Creating a Pivot account is easy – go to  http://pivot.cos.com and click the “Sign up” option in the upper right of the screen.  Enter the requested information for your name and e-mail address, and then affiliate with Northern Arizona University.

All users can log in at http://pivot.cos.com with a Pivot username and password anytime, anywhere. Logging in this way will take you to your Pivot homepage. From your homepage, you can manage active or tracked funding opportunities, saved searches, shared opportunities, etc., and start searching for funding or scholars. You will need to enter your username and password when accessing PIVOT from off-campus or saving a funding record or funding search.

SPIN

We provide access to online searches through the SPIN Plus computerized database.

SPIN is a funding opportunities database designed to provide up-to-date information on current national and international government and private funding sources. All of the data is obtained directly from the sponsoring agencies to ensure the integrity and timeliness of the information.
