NAU provides access to online searches through the SPIN Plus computerized database, a web-based system that includes three product modules:

  • SPIN, a database of funding opportunities by federal agencies, private and corporate foundations, and others
  • GENIUS, a database of investigator profiles
  • SMARTS, a database that matches your interests with funding opportunities and sends you timely e-mails containing funding source information
To get started, Create or modify a GENIUS profile to use SPIN to search for funding opportunities. For complete instructions on using SPIN Plus, download the SPIN Plus user guide.
