Do more than just float by
Take your education to the rivers and open water of the
Southwest. Our River and Water-Based Program offers surfing, canoeing,
kayaking, and rafting trips that last three to eight days, with opportunities
to see:
- spectacular scenery and impressive ecosystems
- whitewater rapids and pristine beach camps
- timeless rock formations and the power of natural
forces
- ancient human history, including dwellings, artifacts,
and petroglyphs
- nature, undisturbed, with unique opportunities
for wildlife viewing and relaxation
Our instructors and guides emphasize safe boating techniques
and practices to minimize environmental impact. You will see the river or lake
as more than a backdrop—it will become like home.
Program areas include:
- the Colorado, Salt, San Juan, and Verde Rivers
- Lake Powell and Lake Mead
- local lakes of northern Arizona
- the
Pacific Ocean
- the Wall Aquatic Center
