January 19 - the Winter Ski Season
ASNAU, in conjunction with the "23 Fee" wishes to provide NAU students access to the San Francisco Peaks for winter recreation by providing transportation. Transportation is free to current NAU students. One 10:00 am departure will occur Fridays and Saturdays (starting Jan 18) of the winter snow season from the Wilson Hall lot (P30) [meeting @ 9:40] and Pine Ridge Lot (P40) [meeting @ 9:50]. There will be only one departure from the mountain at 4:45 pm. SnowJacks operates on a first sign-up, first serve basis. Students cannot sign-up more than seven days in advance of their desired departure. Students will be contacted if SnowJacks is full for the date and time requested. Students will receive a confirmation email on Thursday evening if they are on the ride list or they may call the Outdoor Adventures Office for confirmation. Sign-ups close on Thursday at 5 pm, but students may seek a ride the morning of, but may be turned away if all seats are taken. Transportation is provided by Shuttle and Parking Services; sign-ups are handled by Outdoor Adventures. Students who are confirmed by Outdoor Adventures and are repeatedly a no show on the morning of the scheduled departure will be charged $20. Students should be prepared to present their NAU ID and sign a waiver upon pick-up. Snowjacks may be cancelled due to weather.
