Professional trainings and certifications

Since the 1980s, Outdoor Adventures has been striving to provide outdoor enthusists with high-level, nationally recognized trainings and certifications.  We want to provide outstanding courses that improve your awareness and preparedness for recreating outdoors.   SOLO, American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA), American Canoe Association (ACA), and Association of Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) are just a few of the organizations we partner with to provide a solid foundation for your outdoor skills.  Don't see a certification on our schedule?  Contact us and we will find a way to bring that certification to our offerings.

Wilderness Welcome

Student-led and outdoor-oriented, Wilderness Welcome is a unique orientation adventure trip for new students. 

Wilderness Medicine

We offer basic outdoor skills training and certifications as a Wilderness First Responder, Search and Rescue technician, and CPR provider.

Substance and cancellation policies

Alcohol, tobacco, firearms, and illegal substances are prohibited on Outdoor Adventures trips. 

If you enroll in a program, 50% of the program fee is required as a deposit. To cancel, you must call us at least two weeks in advance.

If you do not cancel at least two weeks before your scheduled trip, you will forfeit your deposit and any other fees paid unless documentation of life event is supplied, in which case you may be eligible for credit with Campus Recreation Services (CRS). If cancellation occurs at least two weeks prior, you are eligible for a 100% credit towards CRS programs or a refund of fees paid, minus a 20% processing fee.
