Orientation Schedule

New NAU international students are required to attend all mandatory orientation sessions. Students should review the complete orientation schedule prior to arrival

Before registration

Immunizations

In order for all NAU students to enroll for courses, NAU requires verification of measles (rubella) immunizations. Students are not eligible for course enrollment without completion of the immunization requirement. The NAU immunization form should be sent directly to Medical Services

ALEKS Math Placement Exam

The ALEKS Math Placement Exam is required for all undergraduate degree-seeking students at NAU. Students must complete the exam before meeting with an academic adviser and before registering for classes. Information on the exam is available at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics

First-year and transfer students

If you are a first-year or transfer student, you must meet with your adviser at orientation before you can register for courses. Students will register for classes during the academic advising session at orientation

Priority enrollment

We encourage all new students to submit a PriorityEnrollment Profile (PE).  Priority Enrollment helps Academic Advisors enroll you in Spring 2015 classes before you arrive in Flagstaff and attend International Student Orientation in January.  You will be asked questions about your intended major, classes and subjects of interest, and any transfer or test credit you intend to bring to NAU. Please note, Academic Advisors cannot pre-enroll you in your Spring 2015 classes unless you complete the PE profile. This is a great benefit to you!

Exchange student enrollment

Exchange students may register for classes prior to arrival and during open enrollment of the previous semester (usually November or April), after you have submitted your immunization form. Enrollment is completed through your LOUIE account

Program in Intensive English (PIE) enrollment

Program in Intensive English students will be registered by the PIE office following the placement exam that is only given during orientation
