Incoming Freshmen

This is the ideal time to apply to Interdisciplinary Global Programs. Apply as soon as you know you are interested in order to get set up right away with the proper coursework during Undergraduate Orientation. All freshmen will be conditionally admitted to IGP for their freshman year. Students must meet all requirements of eligibility per the student handbook to continue on with IGP and be fully admitted as sophomores.

Math Placement

We want to extend the opportunity for every student who is interested in IGP to join. However, the only way students can graduate within five years with our programs is if they start their freshman year in the correct math course. Visit this page to see which math placement you need for first semester freshman year. Students who are more than one class behind will be ineligible to apply.

Language Placement

Freshmen without any language experience are eligible to join our program. Please be advised that students must enroll in the proper language or comparative cultural studies coursework their first semester at NAU. Students who don’t enroll in proper coursework will be ineligible to continue with IGP.

If you already have significant language experience, and think an introductory language course won’t be the right fit for you, click here to learn more about exam credit, retrocredit, proficiency exams and placement exams with Global Languages and Cultures.
