Text in Images
As a best practice, Text should NOT be inserted in images, especially due to accessibility issues. Our web pages must be accessible to everyone.
One important reason is that guests that use screen readers need to have a very similar experience on our webpages as a sighted person. The screen reader will read the picture description to the visitor with accessibility needs from the field with the handicapped symbol next to it. This means that if words are on an image, ALL the words need to be inputted into the handicapped field.
If for some reason text needs to be added, do the following:
- Click on the mountain icon next to the image.
- In the handicapped field, enter all the words on the image.
- Click "OK".
