How to log in to the CMS
- Navigate to nau.edu/cmswork
- Click “Login”
Click the “Workarea” button.
- You will be prompted to enter your NAU User ID and Password.
- Access will only be granted to those who have completed training through ITS.
Click on the "Content" tab.
The 'Workarea' is a central location where you can perform most tasks for managing your website. Within the ‘Workarea’ you will find 3 primary pages; ‘Desktop’, ‘Content’, and ‘Library’. Each of these tabs allows you to manage different elements of your web site. You can navigate to these pages by using the ‘Workarea menu tabs’ located at the top right corner of the ‘Workarea’.
The ‘Desktop’ tab is a management queue for your website. By placing widgets on your desktop you can view items such as Content that has been checked out, Content that is awaiting approval, and Content that will expire soon.
The ‘Content’ tab of the ‘Workarea’ allows users to edit and manage their web pages. By navigating the CMS hierarchy from the folder pane, users can work within their site to manage and maintain their web pages.
The ‘Library’ tab of the ‘Workarea’ allows users to upload images and documents that pertain to their site. By navigating to their site using the folder pane (an exact reflection of the hierarchy that exists in the content tab) users can upload information to their correct locations before adding it to their web pages.
