Creating a new menu

1. To create a menu, navigate to your site’s main folder in the CMS folder structure.
    
2. Select New -> Menu in the CMS Toolbar.
   
    
3. The “Add Menu” screen will appear in the CMS workspace. Choose a name for your menu, typically the name of your site followed by the word “menu.” (e.g., For the CEFNS main site, “CEFNS Menu”)
    
4. Select the “Save Menu” icon. Your menu will now be displayed in the CMS workspace where you can add menu items.
    

Adding menu items

1. View your menu and choose the menu item to which you would like to add your sub menu.
    
2. Click the “Add Items” icon.  
3. Select “Sub Menu” and click “Next.”
4. Enter a title in the “Title” field and link the menu item to its corresponding page.
5. Click the “Save” icon.  
6. To add additional sub menu items, navigate back to the main menu item and repeat steps 2-5.  Your sub menu items will be displayed in the menu beneath its parent menu item:
    

You can add up to three menu layers by adding sub menu items to their respective parent menu items:
          

Modifying menu items

Changing the order of menu items

1. Click “View” to the right of the folder area, and select “Menu.”
   
    
2. Click the “Reorder Menu Items” icon in the toolbar.  
3. Select a Menu Item and use the arrows to move it up or down until all items are in the desired order.
   
    
4. Click the “Update” icon.  

Removing an item from the menu

1. When viewing a menu, select the menu item you wish to have deleted.
    
2. Click the “delete menu item” icon.   The menu item will no longer be displayed in the menu. Deleting menu items in this manner will only remove the page from the menu; the page it links to will still exist. NOTE: If you delete a menu item that still contains sub menus in the layer(s) below, they will also be removed.
