CMS: Content Management System

A web content management system is a technology platform that allows organizations to manage digital content in smart ways.

The university has invested in the Ektron CMS400.NET system.

CMS training

In order to help your department successfully manage your website once it is published, the university is providing training resources through the ITS Learning and Professional Development group.

If you are the person updating, adding, or editing content, there is training available for you to better understand how to update and manage content.

Go to the Information Technology Services (ITS) registration page and select the desired class.

What the CMS can do for you

If you are a university web developer, site manager, aspiring content strategist, or manager looking for increased labor efficiency, the university’s new CMS can make your life easier.

As laid out by Ektron, the new CMS will allow you to:

  • manage content and documents in one place
  • build web pages quickly and efficiently
  • upload images and files
  • manage navigation and menu items

Sometimes, the best way to prepare for change is to talk about it. If you have questions, do not hesitate to contact the University Marketing department. Check the EDEN website for updates and resources.
