Liberal Studies distribution course guidelines  

All distribution courses that count for liberal studies credit must meet the liberal studies plan guidelines. Proposed distribution courses must:

• fit into a distribution block
• address an essential skill
• have a plan to assess learning outcomes

We consider courses at the 100-300 levels. The Liberal Studies Committee will evaluate and approve course submissions.

Submit your course

Once a faculty member and colleagues have decided that a course should be submitted, the department chair should review the syllabus for that course. After the department chair approves the syllabus, it should be e-mailed with the liberal studies syllabus proposal form to Ramona Doerry.  

The Liberal Studies Committee will review course submissions in the order in which they are received.
